Dauntless Air is seeking Fire Boss Pilots for aerial firefighting operations, requiring significant low-level and mountainous terrain experience. Candidates should have a commercial certificate and instrument rating, with a strong background in airplane single engine land and sea operations.
Requirements
- 1500 hours total in all aircraft
- 1200 hours in airplanes
- 200 hours in airplane single engine land
- 100 hours in airplane single engine sea (ASES) (may apply without if hold ASES rating)
- 25 hours in the same make and model to be flown (will receive as part of training)
- 100 hours in turboprop airplanes (as applicable)
- 200 hours of low-level flight in airplanes (must include 100 hours of FAA Part 137 operations)
- 200 hours in mountainous terrain OR 100 hours after graduating from a recognized mountain flying school
- 100 hours in airplanes in the last 12 months
- 10 hours in airplanes in the preceding 60 days
- Instrument rating
- Commercial certificate
