About This Role
JetSMART is seeking experienced Captains to lead operations on the A320 family aircraft from their Buenos Aires base in Argentina. The airline operates scheduled passenger services across South America. This position requires a minimum of 4,500 total flight hours with 1,500 hours of command experience on jet airliners. Candidates must hold a valid Argentine ATPL license with Class 1 Medical Certificate and demonstrate ICAO English Level 4 proficiency. The role offers the opportunity to command operations safely while leading a professional flight crew on established airline routes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Exercise command, responsibility and safety of aircraft operations during flight time
- Transport crew, passengers, baggage and cargo safely from origin to destination airport
- Fly the aircraft following pre-established routes and patterns
- Develop and brief flight plan to crew
- Verify meteorological conditions for departure, cruise and destination
- Monitor aircraft weight and balance
- Oversee fuel load
- Communicate with air traffic control
- Make decisions in emergency situations
- Lead and coordinate crew operations
- Maintain composure under pressure
Requirements
- Argentine nationality
- Valid ATPL license (TLA) with Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Minimum 4,500 total flight hours
- Minimum 3,000 hours airline line experience
- Minimum 1,500 hours as Captain on jet airline operations
- Valid medical fitness certificate (CMA)
- ICAO English Level 4 or higher
- Valid license validity certificate
- Valid passport
