About This Role
JetSMART is seeking experienced Captains for their base in Buenos Aires, Argentina to command A320 family aircraft on scheduled operations. The airline is Argentina's leading low-cost carrier operating scheduled passenger services. Candidates must be Argentine nationals with a minimum of 4,500 total flight hours, including 3,000 hours of airline operations and 1,500 hours as Captain on airline jets. This position requires a valid ATPL license with Class 1 Medical Certificate and ICAO English Level 4 proficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Exercise command and authority over aircraft operations during flight
- Ensure safe transport of crew, passengers, baggage and cargo from origin to destination
- Operate aircraft following pre-established routes and procedures
- Develop and brief flight plan to crew
- Verify weather conditions for departure, cruise and destination
- Monitor aircraft weight and balance
- Review fuel load requirements
- Communicate with air traffic control
- Make decisions during emergency situations
- Lead crew and maintain effective communication
- Remain calm under pressure
Requirements
- Argentine nationality
- Valid ATPL license with Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Minimum 4,500 total flight hours on fixed-wing aircraft
- Minimum 3,000 hours airline operations
- Minimum 1,500 hours as Captain on airline jets
- Valid medical fitness certificate (CMA)
- ICAO English Level 4 or higher
- Valid pilot license certificate
- Valid passport
