About This Role
Part-135 Cessna C208 Caravan Captain at Empire Airlines based in Anchorage, AK. Conducts safe, efficient, compliant and professional flight services; maintains command in all situations, manages communications with stations/towers/dispatch, files FAA reports, records flight hours, and adheres to FAA rest requirements. Starting pay range $1,385 to $1,477 weekly ($72,020 to $76,804) with medical, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, 401k matching and travel benefits.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely maneuver the aircraft during all phases of flight
- monitor flight conditions including weather and cargo safety
- verify go/no-go decision, fuel requirements and proper loading
- make alternate destination decisions. Maintain command in all situations
- ensure proper communication with stations, towers, flight controllers and dispatchers
- file all FAA-required reports
- record flight-hours with Dispatch and adhere to FAA rest requirements. Supervise personnel related to the flight
- maintain knowledge of applicable regulations, procedures, manuals and protocols
- serve as a positive, communicative leader. Review company bulletins/correspondence daily
- submit transmittals, expense reports and documents accurately and timely. Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- CARAVAN CAPTAIN REQUIREMENTS: Commercial Pilot License with SEL and IFR ratings
- 1200 TT
- 800 PIC
- 500 Cross-Country
- 100 Night
- 75 IFR (50 actual)
- IFR Current and Proficient
- 2nd Class Medical
- Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Must adhere to the company's FAA/DOT required Drug and Alcohol Program.
