FlightSafety International seeks a C-17 Pilot Instructor for ground-based training at Altus AFB. Requires 8 years flying experience with 5 years as a C-17 pilot including air drop and aerial refueling experience, plus 2 years/200 hours flight instructor experience. Active SECRET security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
Requirements
- Eight (8) years flying experience
- Five (5) years as a C-17 pilot with air drop and aerial refueling experience
- Two (2) years or 200 hours of flight instructor experience in air drop, aerial refueling, and tactics
- Bachelor's degree required
- Active SECRET Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship (for security clearance eligibility)
- Must qualify as a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
- Ability to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of instructional principles and theories
- Knowledge of personal computers and software applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- Successfully accomplish annual internal standardization evaluations
- Recent C-17 flight simulator pilot instructor experience and CATS MECOC certification desired
- Must be able to lift and move up to 35 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to exit simulator via escape ladder
- Valid medical certificate (implied by flying requirements)
