About This Role
Ameriflight, the nation's largest Part 135 cargo airline, is seeking an experienced Captain to operate the Beechcraft 1900 cargo aircraft from their Lansing, MI base. The company operates a diverse fleet of over 120 aircraft supporting major cargo integrators and freight forwarders across the U.S. Candidates must have a Commercial Pilot License with multi-engine and instrument ratings, minimum 1800 total hours with 1000 PIC hours, and previous FAR 121/135 experience. This full-time position offers a base salary of $87,006 annually with benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), paid training, jumpseat privileges with major carriers, and the opportunity to bid preferred bases and equipment. Flights typically operate 5 days per week with morning departures and evening returns, with lodging provided at outstations.
Requirements
- Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with multi-engine land rating
- Instrument rating required
- High performance endorsement
- Complex endorsement
- Minimum 1800 hours total flight time
- Minimum 1000 hours PIC
- Minimum 500 hours cross-country (point-to-point)
- Minimum 250 hours multi-engine
- Minimum 100 hours turbine
- Minimum 100 hours instrument (50 must be in aircraft)
- Minimum 100 hours night
- Meet FAR 135.243(c) requirements for PIC in IFR conditions
- Previous FAR 121/135 experience required
- Instrument Proficiency Check or 121/135 recurrent within past 6 months
- First or Second Class Medical Certificate
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
- Current Passport
- English proficient
- Eligible to work in the U.S. and travel unrestricted in and out of the U.S.
- Meet airport badging requirements including TSA Security background check
- Valid Driver's License
- Successful completion of DOT drug screening
- Pass required background checks
