About This Role
Air India Group is inviting applications for Air India Express B737 Captains (PIC) through two pathways. Experienced type-rated P1s with a valid B737 PIC endorsement need at least 100 PIC hours on B737-family aircraft and may be up to 62 years old. Non-type-rated transition Captains can qualify through either a jet route requiring 3,000+ total flying hours, 1,000+ airline hours on jet aircraft, and at least 500 PIC hours on aircraft with AUW > 5,700 kg, or a turboprop route requiring 3,000+ total flying hours, 1,500+ airline hours on turboprop aircraft, and at least 500 PIC hours on aircraft with AUW > 10,000 kg; the transition age limit is 60. All applicants must meet the stated Indian ATPL, instrument and proficiency-check, radio-licence, Class I medical, English-language, record, and document-validation requirements. Immediate joining is preferred, the posting location is flexible, and selection comprises psychometric assessment, personal interview, simulator flight proficiency test, and pre-employment medical examination.

Requirements
- Applicants may apply through either of the following pathways: an experienced B737 type-rated P1 Captain with a valid B737 PIC endorsement, at least 100 PIC hours on B737-family aircraft, and a maximum age of 62
- or a non-type-rated P1 Captain for the B737 transition pathway. The transition candidate must have either jet experience—3,000+ total flying hours, 1,000+ airline hours on jet aircraft, and at least 500 PIC hours on aircraft with AUW > 5,700 kg—or turboprop experience—3,000+ total flying hours, 1,500+ airline hours on turboprop aircraft, and at least 500 PIC hours on aircraft with AUW > 10,000 kg—and must be no older than 60. General requirements are Indian nationality or OCI card-holder status
- a valid ATPL with a current/valid IR and Pilot’s Proficiency Check
- FRTOL and COP/RTR
- a valid Class I medical fitness assessment certificate
- ICAO Aviation English Language Proficiency Level 4 or above endorsed on the Indian ATPL certificate
- an incident- and accident-free record
- breath-analyzer information and details of any DGCA enforcement action against the licence holder
