About This Role
The Home Depot is seeking an experienced Captain (Pilot-in-Command) to operate corporate-owned and leased aircraft for the company's aviation operations. This is a corporate flight department role based in Atlanta, requiring pilots to manage flight operations globally including the United States, Canada, Mexico, and other international destinations. Candidates must have a minimum of 4,000 total flight hours with 2,000 hours as pilot-in-command and 2,000 hours on jet aircraft, plus type ratings on at least two corporate jet types. The position involves significant overnight travel (more than 50% of the time) and includes responsibilities for crew management, safety compliance, and training of co-pilots. Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Legally permitted to work in the United States
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
- Type rated in at least two corporate jet aircraft
- Minimum 4,000 total flight hours
- Minimum 2,000 hours as pilot-in-command
- Minimum 2,000 hours on jet aircraft
- Minimum 5 years experience as professional pilot flying jet aircraft
- Demonstrated record of adherence to aviation safety and flight standards
- Effective communication skills
- General business familiarity with department budgets
- Polished organizational skills
- Ability to perform all flight-related duties
- Knowledge of normal procedures, emergency operating procedures, and aircraft operating systems
- Ability to overnight travel more than 50% of the time
- Associate's degree preferred
