Air Methods, a leading air ambulance and medical transport operator, is seeking an experienced Assistant Chief Pilot to lead pilot training, standardization, and regulatory compliance across their organization. The role involves overseeing Check Airmen and Flight Instructors, managing new-hire indoctrination and recurrent training, and partnering with aviation and clinical leadership to maintain the highest safety standards. Candidates require a minimum of 2,500 total flight hours, two years of Part 135 operation experience, and two years of training experience, with an ATPL certificate preferred. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from four-year college or university
- Minimum 2,500 total flight hours
- Two years of experience in Part 135 operations
- Two years of ground and flight training experience
- Five to eight years of related professional experience
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate preferred
- Certified Flight Instructor preferred
- Certified Instrument Instructor preferred
- FAA Second Class Medical Certificate required for check airman/flight instructor duties
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Sound judgment and decision-making ability
- Subject to DOT/FAA drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, random, reasonable cause, post-accident)
