About This Role
Goodyear seeks an experienced Airship Pilot to operate the iconic Goodyear Blimp (NT Airship). Requires Commercial Pilot License with Instrument and Multi-Engine ratings, minimum 1250 total flight hours, and proficiency with Garmin glass cockpit systems. Position based in Akron, Ohio with 60-80% flight time including evenings and weekends.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- LTA/HTA Commercial Pilot License
- Instrument Rating
- Multi-Engine Rating
- Minimum 1250 hours total flight time
- Familiarity with Garmin technology and glass-cockpit systems
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
- Comfortability with exposure to outdoor weather conditions (rain, wind, thunder, lightning, snow, heat, humidity, fog)
- Current knowledge of FAA, Goodyear, and other regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, professionalism, and standardization
- Strong communication skills
- Valid Class 3 Medical Certificate (implied for commercial operations)
