About This Role
Breeze Airways is hiring First Officers to fly the Airbus A220. First Officers ensure safe and timely flight operations in accordance with all Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations, supporting the Captain and developing professionally toward transition to PIC.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for a thorough working knowledge of the equipment operated and the FARs governing its operation, plus Company manuals, Operations Specifications, and policies.
- Responsible to the Captain for proper flight planning per weather, Company policies, and FARs.
- Perform all duties the Captain may assign in flight.
- Assess risk and keep it to an acceptable level during all phases of ground and flight operations.
- Maintain proficiency and knowledge of flight operations, procedures, and systems for the aircraft flown.
- Develop technically and professionally in preparation for transition to PIC.
- Conduct pre- and post-flight inspections to ensure airworthiness, and assist with handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo where company personnel are unavailable.
Requirements
- Must be at least 23 years old at the time of hire. FAA ATP Certificate or Commercial Pilot Certificate with multi engine and instrument ratings. Current ATP Written completed if an FAA ATP is not held. Must have 1,500+ hours total time (not including simulator and/or Flight Engineer time). Must have 500+ hours fixed wing turbine time. Must have a minimum: 750 hours of fixed wing time, 500 hours cross country, 250 hours fixed wing PIC, 100 hours night, 75 hours instrument, 50 hours of actual multi engine flying. Actively flying two of the past five years. Current First-Class FAA Medical Certificate. Valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator's Permit
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous US Part 121, US Part 135, or US Military Aviator experience
- 500+ hours fixed wing multi engine time, preferably in a jet
- Experience using an FMS.
