Conair Group, the world's largest private fixed-wing aerial firefighting company, is seeking experienced pilots for the 2026 season. This role involves operating aircraft in challenging conditions to protect communities from wildfires, with a focus on safety and teamwork. Ideal candidates will have significant total flight time and PIC experience, including mountainous terrain, and must be able to work legally in Canada.
Requirements
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or have the legal right to work in Canada
- Ability to obtain necessary work visas for international firefighting assignments
- Possess a valid Canadian Driver’s License
- Possess a valid Passport
- Commit to residing in Canada during the fire season
- Hold a valid Canadian ATPL
- Able to obtain a Canadian Category 1 Medical Certificate
- Minimum of 2,000 hours total flight time
- Minimum of 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience
- At least 250 hours of flying in mountainous terrain
- Recent flying experience within the last 12 months
- For seaplane or tailwheel aircraft positions: 500 hours PIC on seaplane in a commercial operation, or 200 hours on certified tailwheel aircraft
