About This Role
Chief Flight Instructor role at Wilderness in Maun, Botswana. Responsible for planning and coordinating flight training activities and ensuring the safety and compliance of all flight training. A flying/checking role: carries out regular flight and ground checks on instructors, supervises solo training flights, and assists with line flight duties as required by the AOC.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Planning and coordinating flight training activities
- ensuring each dual and solo training flight is authorised
- ensuring authorisations are entered in the flight authorisation book
- personally supervising solo training flights
- maintaining flying discipline
- ensuring aircraft are equipped per CARs
- carrying out regular flight and ground checks on active, qualified flight/ground instructors to determine competency and standardisation
- assisting with line flight duties as required from the AOC.
Requirements
- Instructors with minimum of 500 hours instruction experience.
- Minimum of 1000 hours PIC on the C208/Turbine aircraft.
- Must have TRI on the C208 or Turbine Instructor Rated.
- Minimum of 2000 hours Total Flying time.
